“From the centre of a square: Dante (Alighieri), Cesare (Battisti) and the ‘militant’ monuments” tells the genesis and the meaning of two of the most famous monuments in Trento. A statue and a mausoleum celebrating two figures of Italian culture and history and, as in a dialogue, they symbolically summarise the spirit of the age in which they were built.
